I’m not talking about a tabloid style attention grabber. I am thinking more of something that will genuinely reflect the content but also look interesting.

You can always wait until you have written the content before deciding on the main heading.

Be original.

Although you want your topic to be something that is trending, you still want the content to be from a personal perspective. Not only will this engage the reader but it will help your post to rank high with the search engines.

Do NOT plagiarise other posts. Google hates this.

This is the beauty of writing a regular post. New content can be shared on social media and will draw in new people to your website.

If you are writing about something related to your niche then they may navigate around your website and become a potential customer.

Include some images.

Photographs can really help to catch your readers’ eyes and help the post to rank highly. Breaking up text with photos also makes the post more inviting.

Write well.

You don’t have to be a professional writer but you certainly don’t want lots of errors or to use bad grammar and spellings. It will not look very professional.

Blog posts have their own style. Short sentences (usually less than 20 words). Only one or two sentences in a paragraph.

A giant wall of words is difficult to read and navigate. Use headings to break up the text and help your readers find what they want.
